VeryDarkMan Arrested Again Over Alleged Defamation

Nigerian social media critic, VeryDarkMan has reportedly been arrested again on allegations of defamation and cyberbullying.

VeryDarkMan’s lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, disclosed this via his X page, formally known as Twitter, on Sunday, June 20.

According to him, Verydarkman was arrested by the police on the instruction of CP Igwe for exposing someone who allegedly scammed a Nigerian abroad.

Deji Adeyanju stated that intead of arresting the alleged scammer, the police arrested Verydarkman on defamation charges.

The post reads, “Our client, @thatverydarkman has just been arrested by the police on the instruction of CP Igwe for exposing someone who allegedly duped a Nigerian abroad. Instead of the police to arrest the person alleged to have duped someone, they arrested VDM on allegation of defamation.”

This comes just three weeks after VeryDarkMan was released on bail after spending two weeks in police detention over alleged cyberstalking and bullying.
