JAMB Releases 2026 Mop-Up UTME Results

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of the results for the 2026 mop-up Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The announcement was made on Tuesday by JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, who confirmed that candidates who took part in the examination can now access their scores through the board’s approved result-checking channels.

The 2026 UTME was conducted between April 16 and April 23 across 966 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres nationwide.

However, technical problems at some examination centres prevented a number of candidates from sitting for the test.

To give affected candidates another opportunity, JAMB organised a mop-up examination on June 13.

In a statement on Tuesday, June 16, the board said the successful completion of the mop-up exercise and the release of the results mark the beginning of the next stage of the admission process.

According to JAMB, candidates will soon be ranked based on their scores, while the printing of results required for admission purposes is expected to begin before the end of the week.

“Candidates who participated in the examination can check their results through the Board’s established result-checking channels,” the statement reads.

“Following the successful conclusion of the mop-up exercise and the release of the results, the Board will commence the ranking of candidates.

“Thereafter, the printing of results for admission purposes is expected to begin before the weekend.

“JAMB appreciates the patience, understanding, and cooperation of all candidates and stakeholders throughout the conduct of the 2026 UTME and the subsequent mop-up exercise.”

The examination body had earlier made it clear that the mop-up exercise would be the final opportunity for candidates to take the 2026 UTME, adding that no additional examination would be organised afterwards.
