#EndSARS: Desmond Elliot Secures Release Of Oxlade’s Manager, Ojabodu Ademola, 5 Other Protesters
Hon. Desmond Elliot has secured the release of Ojabodu Ademola, the manager of a Nigerian singer Oxlade, who was arrested during a protest against the extrajudicial activities of the now-defunct Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in Surulere, Lagos State.
The 46-year-old politician who represents Surulere Constituency at the Lagos State House of Assembly, also secured the release of five other #EndSARS protesters who were arrested yesterday, October 12, 2020.
Five of the protesters released along with Ademola yesterday night include Okara Nkem, Ayodeji Ayeni, Nduka Treasure, Adeola Adebayo and Adetifa Olanrewaju Samuel.
KanyiDaily had reported how Oxlade was during the protest in Surulere, while his manager was arrested by the police, brutalisedand tortured on the streets before dragged on the floor to the Police station.
Oxlade’s manager Ojabodu Ademola, popularly known as Ojah Bee, was transferred to Panti Police Station, Yaba, with the accusation of murdering the three Policemen who lost their lives when their colleagues opened fire.
.@PoliceNG, you cannot frame @ojahbee! There is a video evidence of how your untrained men at Area C Command shot at peaceful protesters and killed their own man in the process.

When contacted, the police also denied arresting the five other #EndSARS protesters who were detained at Area C Police station, Surulere.
It took the intervention of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, Lagos State Governor, Sanwo-Olu, Desmond Elliot, and about four other lawyers to secure release of the six protesters.
The protesters will be released tonight.
Their rights will not be violated. That, I assure you. https://t.co/XtM1hysek6
