Men of the Nigerian Army were pictured marching with Nigerian youths protesting against the extrajudicial activities of the now-defunct Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in Ibadan, Oyo State.
This is coming after Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, released a press video to notify that the citizen of Oyo can embark on a peaceful protest and ordered the police force to stand down and not be seen disrupting the protest in Ibadan.
Many people have turned up on Tuesday morning to have a peaceful protest against the SARS tactical unit of the Nigerian Police Force over brutality, illegal arrest, extortion, extra-judicial killings, among others.
Soldiers of the Operation Burst supervising the protests were also caught on camera matching with the #EndSARS campainers in their movement in Ibadan.
Below are some of the reaction, photos and videos from the protest.
KanyiDaily had earlier reported that the #EndSARS protesters shut down Iwo road in Ibadan, causing massive gridlock in Oyo State.
