Nnamdi Kanu’s Lawyer Speaks On Sunday Igboho’s Release

KanyiDaily had earlier reported that Sunday Igboho was released by the Government of Benin Republic on Monday, March 7, 2022, after spending over 231 days in detention.

Reacting on his Twitter page, Ejimakor said Igboho’s release had shown that self-determination was not a crime nor an extraditable offense.

The lawyer then called on the Nigerian government and the court to emulate Benin Republic’s gesture by reversing its injustice against Kanu.

He wrote, “The release of Igboho by Benin Republic has validated the universal law that #SelfDetermination is neither a crime nor an extraditable offense. If it is, Igboho would’ve been extradited to Nigeria. If Nigeria fails to reverse its injustice to #NnamdiKanu, its courts must.”

Meanwhile, Sunday Igboho’s lawyer, Yomi Aliyyu has revealed that his client cannot return to Nigeria because he was released to his medical doctors with the agreement that he would not leave Benin Republic for any reason.
