King Charles iii and Queen Consort Camilla arrive Buckingham Palace as Britain’s new monarch
King Charles iii and his wife Camilla, who is now known as Queen Consort have arrived at Buckingham Palace for the first time as British Monarch, following the death of Queen Elizabeth.
The couple is currently greeting the massive crowd cheering them as they arrive.
The King flew to London from Scotland and was driven to the Royal residence. He got out of the car to shake hands with his well-wishers.
Meanwhile, King Charles III will be officially proclaimed King on Saturday 10th September 2022 morning (UK time).
The date was agreed at a meeting of the Accession Council.
73-year-old King Charles iii ascended the throne yesterday upon the death of his 96-year-old mother, Queen Elizabeth, drove up in a motorcade with his wife Camilla.
