Man runs mad after seven members of his family, including his wives and children, died of food poisoning in Zamfara.

A married man has reportedly developed a psychiatric disorder after upon hearing the news that his seven family members died of food poisoning at Auki village of Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

According to Tribune Online, the man lost his seven family members, consisting of five children and two housewives, after they ate food prepared with corn.

An eye witness, Mohammed Musa, said that the incident occurred on Tuesday night when one among the late wives prepared corn food (Tuwon Masara).

“After they ate the food, they started to develop stomach pains, three died instantly while four persons were taken to General Hospital, Bungudu where they were also pronounced dead,” he said.

At Bungudu General Hospital, it was confirmed by the Doctor on duty that all the deceased died of food poisoning.

The husband of the deceased family, Mallam Hassan lawali, who was not in the house when his family eat the meal, developed a psychiatric disorder upon hearing the sad news. It was gathered that he could neither speak nor eat as at the time of filing this report.

Meanwhile, KanyiDaily had reported how a young man who had allegedly been mentally unstable for the past three years was reportedly healed in a church last week in Ekpoma, Edo State.
