Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Donate To Charities In Nigeria
Nigeria is arguably facing one of its worst flooding incidents in decades with over 600 persons killed and over two million displaced due to the disaster this year.
In a statement shared on Tuesday, a Spotify representative confirmed that the Royal couple through the Archewell Foundation made donations to Save the Children and UNICEF.
The spokesperson said the unspecified donations to the charities would “help provide relief following devastating floods wreaking havoc in Nigeria.”
Save the Children Nigeria also confirmed the donation in a tweet, saying: “More than 1.5 million children are at risk after devastating flooding in Nigeria.
‘Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Archewell Foundation has donated to Save the Children in Nigeria as our teams deliver life-saving supplies to affected families.”
The donation comes after Meghan Markle revealed that she discovered she’s 43% Nigerian after doing a genealogy test a couple years ago.
