Legendary and iconic talk show host Jerry Springer has died at 79.
Jerry Springer was a former mayor of the city of Cincinnati in United States of America and went on to host a namesake TV show that featured dysfunctional families willing to bare it all on national TV.
His TV show was on air weekday afternoons and was known for fights, obscene words and blurred nude images.
The Jerry Springer Show ended in 2018 after more than 5000 episodes
In 2003, Springer intended to run for the Senate and promised to draw the non-traditional voters ”who believe most politics are bull”.
However, the legacy of the Jerry Springer show put a limit on his political aspirations.
In 2019, Springer hosted a nationally syndicated show ”Judge Jerry”

Springer died peacefully at home in Chicago after a brief illness.
Jene Galvin a family spokesperson who announced the news of his death said:
Jerry’s ability to connect with people was at the heart of his success in everything he tried whether that was politics, broadcasting or just joking with people on the street who wanted a word or photo.
He’s irreplaceable and his loss hurts immensely, but memories of his intellect, heart and humour will live on”.
