Governor Uzodinma Demands Speedy Investigation Into Alleged JAMB Website Hackers

Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma has urged the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and the Department of State Services (DSS) to speed up their investigation into the suspected hacking of Joint Administration and Monitoring Board (JAMB) website.

KanyiDaily recalls that the police and DSS had earlier announced the arrest of 20 hackers for allegedly tampering with JAMB’s computer-based test system in exchange for large payments.

Reacting in a statement on Saturday, Uzodimma praised security agencies for arresting the suspects linked to the breach.

The governor, who spoke through the state’s Commissioner for Information, Declan Emelumba, noted that the disruption affected the 2025 UTME results of over 370,000 candidates, with many from the South East.

He called the arrests timely and necessary, saying they would help uncover the root cause of the problem and calm public anxiety.

Uzodinma stressed the importance of wrapping up the investigation quickly and bringing the suspects to court as a warning to others.

According to him, the situation had become a national embarrassment that needed to be addressed without delay.

The governor also applauded JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, for his honesty and dedication in protecting the integrity of the examination body.
