Traditional rulers in Anambra State have honoured President Bola Tinubu with the chieftaincy title of “Dike Si Mba”, meaning ‘Hero from Another Land’.
The title was given during his visit to the state on Thursday by a group of monarchs led by Igwe Chidubem Iweka of Obosi, who chairs the Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council.
The event took place in Awka as part of Tinubu’s official visit.
The President arrived at the Chinua Achebe International Airport in Umueri around 12:15 pm and was welcomed by Governor Chukwuma Soludo, Deputy Governor Onyeka Ibezim, and other top officials.
During his visit, Tinubu opened Anambra’s first Government House—over three decades after the state was created.
The president also commissioned several projects initiated by Governor Soludo’s administration.
This marks Tinubu’s second trip to the South-East region in 2025, following his January visit to Enugu.
KanyiDaily recalls that President Bola Tinubu recently visited Katsina State, with a focus on tackling security issues and promoting development in the region.
