Nine months ahead of the Anambra State governorship elections, former Nigerian Central Bank governor and Anambra State governorship aspirant Charles Chukwuma Soludo has been attacked by gunmen in Anambra State.
Kanyi Daily News earlier reported that Soludo was attacked yesterday evening while he was having an interactive meeting with Isuofia youths at the Isuofia Civic Center in Afuzor, Anambra State.
Three mobile police men attached to Soludo were killed and their weapons taken away by the gunmen.
No civilian casualties were recorded, only bruises, injuries and shock.
Meanwhile, Soludo’s in-law, Engineer Emeka Ezenwanne, The Commissioner for Public Utilities and Water Resources in Anambra State was abducted by the gunmen.
