Yul Edochie’s First Wife Likes Georgina Onuoha’s Post Criticising Him Over Polygamy

May Aligwe Edochie, the wife of Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has liked a post by Georgina Onuoha in which the actress called out her husband for bragging about polygamy.

KanyiDaily recalls that in April, Edochie unveiled his second wife, Judy Austin Muoghalu, and their baby despite still being married to May Aligwe for 17 years with four kids.

Amid the backlash trailing the development, the actor took to his Instagram page to celebrate his decision, saying that marrying a second wife has brought blessings into his life and also elevated the status of his two wives.

Edochie admitted that he wronged his first wife, May, and he has apologized to her sincerely. He announced that she got her first-ever endorsement deal after the marriage saga and Judy has become famous.

The 40-year-old actor, who described himself as the biblical David, claimed that polygamy is not a crime, stressing that some of the ‘great men’ mentioned in the bible had more than one wife.

Georgina Onuoha Reacts

Reacting on her Instagram page, the actress slammed Edochie for committing adultery and putting his wife through the unfairness of finding out on social media.

Onuoha also pointed out different ways in the scripture God punished adulterers since Edochie wanted to justify his indiscretions with impunity by citing religion and tradition.

The actress said although marrying a second wife isn’t a crime, Edochie’s approach to polygamy was “wrong” because his first wife got to know about it on social media.

Onuoha further accused Edochie of “celebrating adultery and disrespecting” his first wife, adding that he has “failed traditionally, and scripturally”.

May Edochie was among the social media users who liked Onuoha’s post.

KanyiDaily recalls that May Edochie had earlier kicked against her husband’s decision to marry a second wife, saying “My family and faith absolutely do not practice polygamy, although it works for some people.”
